Welcome to BrierLabs

BrierLabs is an independent AI and data science consultancy with a primary focus on the sports betting and trading industry. I started it after two decades on the operator side — from odds compiling to Sports Betting Director — to work hands-on at the intersection of domain expertise, statistics, and modern AI tools.

Betting and trading companies sit on more data than almost any other industry, and the feedback on decisions is immediate and unforgiving. Yet turning that data into reliable models, sharper pricing, and automated workflows is where many operations get stuck — messy data, tools that never make it past a pilot, and models that look good in-sample but fail in production. That gap is where BrierLabs focuses.

What I do

The work falls into three areas:

• Sportsbook strategy & advisory — operator-side experience applied to trading and risk setup, pricing and margin strategy, and platform and odds feed decisions.
• Statistical modeling & data insights — predictive models and quantitative analysis built in Python, with rigorous validation and backtesting so results hold up beyond the sample.
• AI-driven automation — LLM-assisted data pipelines, automated parsing of unstructured content, and workflow automation that removes manual bottlenecks.

From experiments to production, the goal is the same: clarity, quality, and results you can trust with real money on the line.
