My name is Niko Marttinen and I am the founder of BrierLabs, a data science and AI consultancy helping companies turn complex data into better commercial decisions. My background combines M.Sc.-level statistics with 20+ years across sports betting, trading, risk, and product management.
My core domain is sports betting. I have led teams of odds compilers, been accountable for a sportsbook's P&L, and built and launched a sportsbook and casino from ground up as Sports Betting Director. I support operators and betting technology companies on both technical and strategic challenges.
My earlier experience in commodity trading, central bank statistics, product management and operational IT gives me a broader perspective on regulated, data-intensive businesses. It helps me understand complex business problems and turn them into practical, decision-oriented solutions.

I provide senior, operator-side advice on pricing, trading, risk, product and platform decisions. Where useful, I support this work with market analysis, statistical modelling and competitor odds analysis.
AI Engineering & Automation
I build practical AI and data systems for sports-betting operations, including LLM-assisted pipelines, extraction from unstructured content, decision-support tools and workflow automation.
Selected partnership work
I also support a small number of sports-betting businesses with operator partnerships and commercial development, particularly where operators, comparison services and affiliate platforms intersect.
